14 Weeks Pregnant

How far along: 14 Weeks.

How big is baby: The size of a clenched fist.  Or the size of a lemon.

Total weight gain: -1.0 lbs.  Probably from all the walking lately.

Maternity Clothes: Nope.

Sleep:  It has been the best yet.  I’m sure it has everything to do with my busy schedule and how exhausted I can get after work.  But I love my job and career so I’m not complaining.  I feel very blessed to be a nurse and work for the hospital I do.

Best moment of the week:  My father-in-law coming in town.

Food Cravings: I’m really not craving anything this week.  I’m eating pretty dang healthy lately and I’m so proud of myself. Fruits, lots and lots of veggies (carrots, corn, cucumber, celery, broccoli), protein shakes, yogurt, low-fat cheese and eggs.  That usually sums up my lunches daily.

Food Aversions: Nothing that I can think of.  Maybe anything that is in a box that needs to be microwaved.  Processed foods.

Symptoms:  My face is still a complaint.  It really doesn’t know what it wants to do. I’m just convinced this is the way it’s going to be the entire pregnancy.  When I think it’s getting better, it’s not.  Still struggling here and there with constipation, too.

Mood: Happy and blessed.

Movement: Nothing yet.

What I’m looking forward to:  My husband to come home, the next doctor’s appointment and the gender ultrasound (broken record here).

What I miss: My hubby, and making dinner every single night.  I still get my 4 days a week to do dinner, but I enjoy doing it so much.  I love doing it everyday.

  1. You look and sound wonderful! I wish I could my diet completely back to original healthy state, but I’m afraid that raw veggies are still a struggle.
    I’m glad you are loving your job! Careful
    Not to overdo it. I’ve had a couple days when baby definitely let me know I needed to rest more. I generally feel very crampy and oh so tired when that happens.

    1. Thank you Lauren. I still feel my self slip here and there if I let myself go too long without eating. It’s hard when I work though, I get home and I’m ready to eat my arm. LOL! I’ve been working a lot the past week and baby is letting me know that I need rest. I’ve literally popped the day after my last post. I can’t wait to post it this week. Crazy! 🙂
